About COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
The COSRX low pH cleanser is marketed as a “gentle gel type cleanser with mildly acidic pH level”.
It’s formulated with “purifying botanical ingredients” to “soothe, refresh and soften the skin without the stripping feeling”. The pH level helps maintain healthy skin by “restoring the skin’s optimal pH level and protecting the skin from outer irritants”.
It comes in a standard size of 150ml/5.07 floz, at a price range of $11-$15 and you can shop it from different authorized retail stores. You can also get smaller sizes like 50ml and 20ml ($5-$11).

It has an extensive ingredient list and some notable ones include; betaine salicylate, sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate, cocamidopropyl betaine, allantoin. Sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate is a water-soluble, sulfate-free surfactant, formulated to be mild, gentle and non-irritating.
It has other ingredients like saccharomyces ferment and styrax japonicus branch/fruit/leaf extract. Saccharomyces ferment AKA fermented yeast contains amino acids, beta-glucan, vitamins and helps to hydrate and nourish the skin while styrax extract helps to clarify the skin.
It also has a bunch of leaf/fruit extracts and I’m pretty sure the Tea Tree Leaf Oil is responsible for its smell. The rest of the ingredients could classify as surfactants, emulsifiers or humectants, all of which are all beneficial to the skin.
Overall, it features great ingredients, not to mention it’s vegan, cruelty-free and free from parabens, sulfates and alcohol⭐.

First Thoughts & Impressions
The first thing to notice was its smell and at first, I was not a fan of it. It came on too strong but still, I decided to give it a try. I eventually got used to the smell and now, it doesn’t bother me anymore.
It has a transparent and slightly runny gel texture, which doesn’t feel sticky or slimy upon application. I love how gentle it feels on the skin, it doesn’t sting and lathers quite well.
(TIP: use more to get enough lather).
After weeks (months) of consistent use, I can say this cleanser really does help keep my acne in check. I barely had breakouts and my skin always felt nice after cleansing.
Sometimes, I noticed some dryness around the lip area but only if I didn’t immediately follow up with the rest of my routine. Overall, it doesn’t strip your skin and I think it does a pretty good job. It can be used morning and night and works well with removing makeup.
It’s quite affordable for its size, effective and budget-friendly enough for starters.

I really love the cleanser. At first, I didn’t want to jump into conclusions but after a while, it was very clear that something in the cleanser was working well for my skin! I was mostly acne-free despite my very random & minimal routine and the cleanser was largely responsible✨. I think it’s a pretty nice product and definitely one to try.
Will I recommend? Yes definitely! I loved how this worked for my skin and I think it’s a great starter choice for anyone looking for a mild cleanser that still works effectively. It’s great for acne-prone skin and gentle enough for sensitive skin.
